River City Rubber Paving Contractor

Solid Work. Safer Surfaces.

We’re not here to sell you a surface you don’t need. We’re here to help homeowners in BC resurface what’s already there — faster, cleaner, and smarter than tearing it out and starting from scratch.

Whether your driveway is cracked, your steps are slippery, or you just want something that holds up better in the cold — we’ve got your back.

Our Story

We started River City because we saw a problem — concrete doesn’t last, and the usual fixes weren’t working.

We wanted something tougher, safer, and easier for real people to live with. That’s when we found rubber paving. Now it’s all we do — and we do it well.

From the Fraser Valley to the Okanagan, we help families, seniors, and businesses turn cracked surfaces into clean, safe spaces they’re proud of.

River City Rubber Paving About
River City Rubber Paving Install

Built for BC Weather. Installed by BC Contractors.

Rubber paving won’t crack, won’t peel, and won’t get slippery in the winter. It flexes with the ground, sheds water fast, and holds up to whatever your driveway throws at it — from snow shovels to trailer tires.

We help people who are tired of cracked concrete, dangerous stairs, and boring driveways. Our clients are homeowners, parents, grandparents, small business owners — anyone who wants something better under their feet from the hot BC summers to the cold icy winters.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does it cost per square foot?

For all-black, it starts at $9–$10 per square foot, including prep, materials, and installation.

Custom colors or blends are around $14–$15 per square foot.

What is the installation process like?

We install rubber paving right over your existing surface. No messy tear-out required. It’s hand-troweled and doesn’t require framing because the mix isn’t runny — it stays exactly where it’s placed.

How soon can I use my driveway or stairs after installation?

You can walk on it in 24 hours and drive on it in about 72 hours. We recommend waiting 7 days before pressure washing.

Can you apply it over pool decks, stairs, or uneven surfaces?

Yes, it’s perfect for pool decks, stairs, and uneven concrete slabs. It even works on decks and patios that need resurfacing. We level out dips and valleys with the rubber itself, giving you a smooth, finished surface. It works great over uneven concrete, patios, or driveways.

Can you install it over concrete, asphalt, or gravel?

Yes! Rubber paving installs directly over your existing concrete, asphalt, gravel, and even wood decks. We also offer base prep for dirt or uneven gravel surfaces (extra charge applies).

How does it perform in winter? What about using a snow blower on it?

It holds up great in all seasons. Snow and ice don’t stick like they do on concrete. You can shovel or use a snow blower without damaging the surface.

Does it get hot in the summer?

Rubber paving stays cooler than pavers or concrete, even in direct sunlight. Black is the most popular color, but lighter colors or blends are available if heat is a concern.

How thick is the rubber paving?

We apply it 3/4" thick for driveways and 1/2" thick for patios, decks, walkways, and stairs. We can apply it thicker if needed to level out dips or slopes.

Can it handle vehicle traffic, trailers, and extreme temperatures?

Yes. It’s extremely durable and handles heavy traffic, including large vehicles and trailers. It holds up in both extreme heat and cold without cracking or softening.

How long does it last? Is there any warranty?

With proper installation, you can expect 20–25 years of durability, backed by our 3-Year Crack-Free Warranty.
